Undergraduate Curriculum

Motor speech disorders represent the most frequent acquired communication disorder. It is therefore essential that SLT graduates have at least basic knowledge of the manifestations of these disorders, their neuroanatomical and neurophysiological correlates and issues surrounding client assessment, diagnosis and management.
Yet, the teaching of motor speech disorders is often underrepresented in undergraduate curricula. In addition, teaching content varies significantly across European countries.
The following represent suggested learning outcomes, a topic outline and relevant references. These have been reviewed and approved by internationally recognised experts.
They are freely available but please acknowledge the ECSMSD development team when making use of these resources.
